The spreadsheet contains all the mathematics required to build a calculator for a steering system. If you require your own parameters, you simply edit the fixed parameters on the sheet. Make sure you do not edit/change the cells that contain working formulas, or you will mess the entire calculator up. It might look difficult if you are new to excel but work through it slowly, and you should understand how all the mathematics ties together. This calculator uses Ackerman angle, bump steer, etc. It was a project developed for Formula student.

This calculator not only provides output parameters, but also has moving parts to help the user visualize what is happening with the system of your choosing. Simply input your fixed variables, and watch what happens! It is a 2D calculator, but, the user can easily incorporate a 3D system by creating/adding their own calculator for the suspension system and tying the two together.
